At Seed Yoga + Wellness our popular kids yoga classes run by the term. These classes are designed to introduce young people to the calming effects of yoga, breathing practices and mindfulness.

 
 

KIDS YOGA

Creative & Fun Kids Yoga Classes (Ages 5–12)
75-minute sessions | Primary School Aged Children

Our kids yoga classes are a joyful blend of yoga postures, dance, and creative movement, all designed to cultivate confidence, body awareness, strength, and mobility—while having a whole lot of fun!

Each week, we explore a new theme that sparks imagination and curiosity. With gentle, playful guidance, children are encouraged to move their bodies in expressive ways, connect with their breath, and discover the power of mindfulness. We introduce simple breathing practices and calming techniques that help build resilience and emotional regulation—valuable tools they can carry with them through life’s ups and downs.

And of course, there’s everyone's favourite part of the class: guided relaxation time! This peaceful wind-down helps busy minds and bodies rest and recharge—so they leave feeling refreshed, balanced, and ready to take on the world.

To bring these life-enriching practices to life, we use a wide variety of engaging mediums—storytelling, games, music, creative movement, and even a bit of crafty fun. A culturally diverse mix of music and thoughtfully chosen props inspire each child’s artistic response, sparking their natural creativity and imagination.

These classes are perfect for children aged 5 to 12 years. While parents are welcome to settle their child in at the start, we kindly ask that you don’t stay for the session so the children can fully immerse themselves in the experience.

Term Two 2025 runs from Thursday 1 May to Thursday 3 July from 4.15 - 5.30pm.

Cost: $250 (10 Week Term)

Location: Seed Yoga, 1A Salisbury Avenue, Blackburn. (Just upstairs from the Joy Parade Cafe.)

Karen has 15 years experience as a dance and yoga teacher. Having travelled extensively, she adapted her knowledge, skills and passion to bring a unique style of yoga to children enhancing a joyful and rich connection through creative expression. Karen is passionate about helping kids to find creative expression, imaginative play and fun in her classes. She has taught in kindergartens, neighbourhood houses and other education settings.
