Ayurvedic Summer Reset: Rituals for Clarity, Calm + Grounding with Taryn Ipenburg

As the Southern Hemisphere stretches into the golden warmth of late Summer, we are bathed in longer days, stronger sunlight, and an unmistakable lift in energy. According to Ayurveda, this is Pitta season—governed by the fire element—and while this time brings vitality, productivity, and illumination, it can just as easily tip us into depletion, irritation, and burnout if left unchecked.

In this nurturing 3-hour workshop, Taryn will guide you into a deeper relationship with the rhythms of nature and your own inner cycles. Learn how a seasonal Ayurvedic routine can soothe and balance excess heat, calm the senses, and prepare your system for the gradual transition into Vata season, Autumn.

Together we will explore:

• What defines Pitta season
• The Ayurvedic understanding of the seasonal wheel
• Why so many of us burn out over Summer
• The common signs of Pitta imbalance
• Summer routines and rituals that cool, ground, and nourish
• How to make space for inner listening and intuition
• Balancing feminine and masculine energy in daily life
• A guided meditation to support the inner shift of late Summer
• Ayurvedic seasonal recipes and inspiration to help you design your own personalised Summer ritual

Expect to leave feeling clearer, grounded, and supported, with practical tools and seasonal practices you can bring into your home, body, and inner world.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is the ancient sister science to yoga, offering a deeply holistic and intuitive path to living in harmony with nature’s cycles. It recognises that our inner landscape is constantly shaped by season, environment, and lifestyle, and provides gentle, personalised practices in food, ritual, movement, and contemplation to support balance and wellbeing across body, mind, and spirit.

About Taryn:

Taryn is a skilled and intuitive yoga teacher whose work blends practical wisdom with deep spiritual grounding. Alongside her years of teaching experience, she is also a trained massage therapist and Reiki Master, and has devoted many years to the study of Ayurveda. This rich background allows her to guide students through practices that not only support the body, but also honour the emotional, energetic, and seasonal layers of wellbeing.

Taryn describes her approach as one rooted in connection, compassion, and embodied awareness. “I will share with you what I have learned about the connection, about the compassion, about the awareness that yoga can bring every day,” she says. Her teaching invites a joyful, fluid, and curious relationship with practice, helping students tune in, move with presence, and create space within. You can expect to leave this workshop feeling grounded, calm, and beautifully nourished.
