Join Ryan Chhajed and Janneke Ferwerda a blissful, powerful and relaxing workshop blending yang and yin yoga styles to experience the best of both worlds in one practice. The workshop will start strong and sweaty, allowing you to connect with your inner warrior through breath and asana and will then seamlessly flow into a softer yin experience.
This journey will then take you into deep states of relaxation as you are immersed in a beautiful alchemical soundscape. Experience guided yogic meditation and the enchanting sounds of Tibetan singing bowls and voice to wash over you.
In this 3 hour workshop you will:
Start with a new understanding of how breath is a game-changer and the cornerstone of finding flow in your asana practice.
Try some breath practices for cultivating strength as you move.
Find your form with a special flowing warrior sequence to remind you how strong and capable you are. Ryan will guide this practice, and Jana will provide hands-on adjustments (but only if you'd like this!) to help you to feel each shape from inside out and to feel confidently aligned.
You've worked hard, now you deserve a sound bath: Rest in a cosy cocoon of blankets and let voice, singing bowls and ancient mantra wash over you.
Be guided through a special meditation practice called Yoga Nidra, which takes you to a place between waking and sleeping and allows you to release tension
You will leave feeling clear, calm and connected.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.
More about Yin and Yang Yoga: Yin Yoga is a slower practice where poses are passively held for longer, working on the deep, dense (Yin) connective tissues and joints in the body. Yang yoga is the more traditional hatha based asana practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility.

About Jana:
“Yoga and meditation have been my constant through life's surprising turns and adventures! No matter where I am, I always find my way back home through yoga.I'm forever grateful to the teachers who have shared their wisdom with me in the realms of Reiki, sound healing and yoga. I aim to use these teachings to create moments of bliss and deeper connection for others. When you're on your mat with me I want to inspire you to explore the spiritual aspects of our practice in your own way. I'm also a classical singer and off the mat you may find me facilitating sound journeys and singing with my singing bowls.”
About Ryan:
Ryan loves movement and yoga. Ryan believes that the yoga mat is a great place to find a sense of contentment, self-awareness, and mind body connection. Ryan believes that yoga is not a "one size fits all" practice, and that every person is on a different path. As such he finds immense joy, satisfaction, and inspiration in seeing students discover their own personal yoga journey and hopes to nurture and encourage them along the way.
