Dot Mandala Art Workshop

  • 1A Salisbury Avenue Blackburn, Vic, 3130 Australia (map)

Join us for a great night out with your friends - enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the relaxation and flow of mandala painting.

Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolise unity and harmony.

You always start from the inside (yourself, the beginning of contemplation) and work to the outside of the mandala (what you would like in the future, which represents the cyclical nature of life)

Buddhists always destroy their mandalas afterwards because it serves as a reminder of the impermanence of life. We won’t be doing that but it serves as a reminder making a dot mandala is all about being in the moment whilst making it and not the outcome.

You will come home with a small mandala on canvas but more importantly you will have relaxed, focussed and have been completely in the moment.

Dot Mandalas are very mediative and can be added upon layer by layer afterwards to make more complex if you wish to do so at home.

In this workshop you will receive:

  • A guided meditation to get your creative juices flowing and a short explanation of the history of mandalas and their powerful symbolism.

  • Guaranteed fun and fascination (and a new addiction to dot mandala painting)

  • All the art art materials you need to create your masterpiece

  • A glass of sparkling wine

We'll finish the evening with an impromptu art exhibition where we check out each other's creative genius. You will leave feeling restored, refreshed and in touch with your creative self. A perfect Friday night!

Friday 12 August 7.00 to 9.30pm at Seed Yoga

Investment: $85
