Are you curious about the 7 energy centres in the body? Did you know that each chakra corresponds to your moods, emotions, weaknesses and strengths? Would you like to learn how you can use the information your body is sending to support you to feel sparkly and full to the brim with energy? This workshop is for you!
Join Lisa Allwell for a 2.5 hour workshop to find balance in your energetic and physical body by working with the seven chakra centres. We’ll move through a series of yogic healing techniques which include:
Sound therapy, mantra and mudra
Meditation
Pranayama (breathing techniques)
Body scanning and visualisation techniques
Aromatherapy
Gentle movement
The first section of the workshop will include a light-hearted dharma talk where we will explore the attributes of each of these seven energetic wheels from the root to the crown. You’ll learn how this ancient framework has informed psychotherapy, philosophy and movement practices from a host of different traditions. You’ll learn how to tap into your subtle body anatomy and have ‘ah ha’ moments as you tune into each chakra.
We’ll take a deep dive into practices where you will learn how to cultivate balance throughout these chakras in your daily life. You will leave with a greater understanding of the psycho-somatic connection in your body, as well as different techniques to restore and achieve balance on your own.
We will finish with an afternoon tea and a chance to connect with our community. You will leave feeling restored, refreshed and yes, blissful!
When: Saturday 21 August 1.30 to 4.00pm

About Lisa Allwell
Lisa has been fascinated by subtle body anatomy for well over a decade. When she first heard of the chakras, it was from a lady at the Camberwell Market who was trying to sell her crystals. She dismissed it as New Age woo woo. A few years later, when she did her first teacher training, she learned that the philosophical origin of the chakras is hundreds of years old. This lead her down a rabbit hole of exploring both texts and yogic practices, from which she’s probably never emerged. Lisa will share what she’s learned in a fun and informative way. Expect to leave with a little toolkit of practices that you can weave into your daily life. See you there!
