Yoga for Men: A 4 Week Course with Ryan Chhajed

Did you know that for most of its history, yoga was practiced only by men? It’s mostly branding that has led us to believe that yoga is a girl thing.

This men’s only yoga course is designed for bloke’s bodies. We keep it simple, effective and targeted to areas where men hold tightness and tension in the body. We’re thinking shoulders, hips and hamstrings. All the places you feel sore after running, riding and playing golf. We also target mindset.: You’ll learn tactics to reduce stress and feel great.

Fun fact: Yoga is not only transformational for our physical bodies but also improves functional strength, helps prevent injury, increase range of motion, reduce stress as well as improve concentration and be an incredible tonic for our emotional wellbeing too.

Join Ryan (yogi, father of teens and exercise junkie) for 4 weeks of FUN and accessible yoga in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. A journey for both the super-fresh, or regular yogi wanting to gain more confidence in the studio, and deeper understanding of their practice.

Over four weeks we will:

  • Lightly touch on anatomy - WHY do men have the physical restrictions that they do and how can we work with them.

  • Enjoy a slow flow (beginner friendly) class with focus on building strength and stamina while using props to help support and grow your practice.

  • Unravel and unwind tight ligaments, tendons and connective tissue with some releasing, grounding Yin yoga.

  • Experience stress busting Yoga Nidra (guided) meditation.

  • Learn mindfulness and meditation strategies to deal with the day to day stresses of life

Who is this for: This course is the perfect entry point if you are new to yoga. If you’ve been practicing for a while, (or if it’s been a while) this is an opportunity to refine your practice, ask questions and skill up.
