Come back to the mat, reconnect with your Evolve community and reignite your inspiration for teaching.
We’ve shared a lot through our Evolve Yin Trainings and Mentorships. Practices, conversations, challenges, discoveries, big lightbulb moments and quite a few laughs. And while the trainings may have finished, the connections we created have continued.
So, we thought it was time to get everyone back in the same room.
Join Lisa Matthews and Lisa Allwell for a special afternoon created exclusively for our Evolve Graduates. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with your yoga colleagues, revisit some of the teachings we’ve explored together and, most importantly, get inspired about your own practice and teaching.
We’ll get practical too.
We’ll explore creative sequencing, class planning and ways to bring freshness, intention and inspiration into your classes. We’ll share ideas, experiment with different approaches and unpack some of the real-life challenges that come with teaching yoga.
Got a class that’s feeling a little stale?
Struggling to make a sequence flow?
Wondering how to keep your teaching fresh when you’ve taught the same class 47 times?
Bring it with you.
There’s no expectation that you need to be teaching either. Perhaps you’re taking a break, finding your way back to teaching or simply want to deepen your own understanding. You’re very welcome.
We’ll explore
• Creative approaches to sequencing with intention and flow
• Practical tools for planning meaningful classes
• Fresh ideas to inspire your teaching
• Revisiting teachings and practices from our Evolve journey
• Sharing the questions, challenges and discoveries that come with teaching
• Plenty of conversation, connection and inspiration
And, of course, there’ll be a cuppa, afternoon tea and plenty of time to catch up with people you may not have seen for a while.

About Us: Lisa Allwell and Lisa Matthews are senior yoga teachers, collaborators and dear friends. They create and facilitate retreats, teacher trainings, workshops and mentoring programs. Their students are drawn to their creative and inspiring teaching style. They’ll share some of their secrets in this mentorship.
Lisa Matthews
Lisa has been a dedicated student of yoga for the past 20 years and a yoga teacher for 13 years. Initially introduced to yoga through meditation, philosophy, chanting and seva (selfless service) her practice expanded to incorporate a fluid yet grounded asana practice.
Lisa served as a manager of international ashrams both in Sydney and Ganeshpuri India. Continuing her yoga studies on her return to Australia, she was handed over the reins to a boutique Yoga and Creative Dance School in Warrandyte, The Bhava Centre. Lisa lovingly owned and operated the studio for several years; guiding the direction and progress of many students through weekly classes and supporting the 300 hr Teacher Training program offered at the studio.
Honouring her deep desire to make a difference in the lives of trauma sufferers through the lens of yoga, Lisa travelled to New York to undertake Off The Mat into the World’s Yoga for Purpose, Social Change training with Sean Corne, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling. On her return to Australia, Lisa was invited to join the Board of Directors of a yoga inspired Not For Profit, Yogahood Australia. Together she co-created and delivered a Trauma Informed Teacher Training to upskill volunteers in preparation for teaching in these sensitive and specialised settings.
Her qualifications include:
Yoga Alliance registered RYT 1500 Senior Teacher, EYRT 500+
Creative Dance Teacher Training at Mangala Studios, 300hrs

An eternal student, Lisa is always adding to her skillset and is currently furthering her studies in Holistic Counselling to broaden her offering of support and for her own growth and evolution.
Lisa Allwell
Lisa is a health professional who unexpectedly fell in love with yoga. She held senior public health roles in mental health, cancer, stroke and chronic illness, but traded up a focus on evidence, research and evaluation to teach yoga. Now, she encourages her students to run the yoga experiment in their own body and mind, with a sample size of one, and richly reap the rewards of their own personal research program.
Lisa established her studio, Seed Yoga + Wellness in 2017. She has created a flourishing yoga community in Blackburn. Far too many of her students to count, have gone on to study and teach yoga. This led to her mentoring emerging yoga teachers one-on-one, giving them the confidence to teach and to establish their own yoga related businesses.
Lisa has completed over 1000 hours of yoga training in a variety of yoga traditions and lineages, including Vitality Yoga, Yoga Pranala, Sattva Yoga Academy and Embodied Flow. She considers herself to be a lifelong student of yoga who continues to participate in trainings; there’s so much to be curious about in this incredible tradition of yoga!
Lisa is a former Board member of Yoga Australia (the national peak body for yoga) and has twice been nominated the Australian Ambassador to the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh, India. She is a former Board member of Health Issues Centre at La Trobe University. She is a Level 3 Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia. She holds two bachelor degrees, in health science and arts and a post-graduate degree in education.
