Step out of overwhelm and rediscover the calm clarity that already lives within you. In “From Stress to Serenity: Unlocking the Presence of Awareness,” Master teacher Rob Langworthy guides you through a transformative 4-week journey from mental busyness and emotional reactivity to grounded presence and inner freedom. Through practical meditation techniques, timeless wisdom, and the supportive energy of group practice, you’ll learn not only how to meditate, but how to live with greater ease, resilience, and connection. This is not just a course, but an invitation to return to yourself.
Rob says: “For me meditation is a living, evolving journey that continues to nourish and fulfill my life. I’m inspired by how uniquely this journey unfolds for each person, and I love supporting others as they discover it for themselves.”
In today's fast-paced and increasingly complex world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by stress and uncertainty about what lies ahead. Meditation offers a powerful antidote. With regular practice, we begin to cultivate steady awareness; a way of being that allows us to step back from our busy minds and the pull of emotional reactivity. From this space we reconnect with the deep peace, clarity, and freedom that are already present within us.
In this course, you’ll explore a range of meditation approaches, designed to support profound inner stillness and help you build a sustainable, meaningful practice. Practicing together in a group also brings a shared sense of encouragement and connection, strengthening the experience for everyone involved.
Week 1: Establishing Presence — The Ground of Awareness
We begin by laying the foundation for a steady and sustainable meditation practice. Through attention to posture, breath, and gentle self-inquiry, you’ll learn how to settle the body and quiet the mind. Rather than trying to change your experience, you’ll begin cultivating simple, clear awareness — the natural presence that exists beneath thought and emotion. This week establishes the ground from which deeper peace and insight can unfold.Week 2: The Freedom of Letting Go
As awareness strengthens, we naturally begin to see the patterns that create stress and reactivity. Drawing from the wisdom of the Vedantic tradition, we’ll explore the liberating art of letting go — loosening identification with limiting beliefs, habitual thought patterns, and emotional conditioning. By learning to step back from these patterns, we create space for clarity, resilience, and a more authentic expression of who we truly are.Week 3: Wholeness and Connection
Building on this foundation, we expand our exploration through the inclusive philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism. Here, meditation becomes not an escape from life, but a deeper embrace of it. We’ll explore practices that cultivate compassion, openness, and a lived sense of interconnectedness. By recognising awareness as something that includes both inner and outer experience, we begin to inhabit a fuller, more integrated sense of self.Week 4: Living Presence — Integrating Meditation into Daily Life
In our final week, we turn toward integration. Together we’ll explore our relationship with time and what it truly means to live in the present moment. You’ll learn how to carry meditative awareness beyond formal practice and into everyday activities — work, relationships, and moments of challenge. Meditation becomes not just something you do, but a way of being — a steady return to presence amidst the flow of life.Dates:Monday 4, 11, 18 and 25 May from 7.30 - 8.45pm (Four Week Course)
